Flight From Farhaven

This illustration appeared on the cover of Mythic Perspectives #8.

Medium: Pencil

This was the first time I started using pencil tones to soften up a picture and add a greater sense of depth. I wanted to focus on a sense of mood and emotion, both in the poses and faces of the figures. The pencil and ink don't mesh particularly well, but it would take me a while to drop the ink and go entirely with pencil.

The scene was supposed to be an Ars Magica Faerie Maga fleeing her embattled covenant with the help of two Grogs.
